Meet theodore.
Who or what is theodore.? theodore. is an exciting, brand new digital magazine. It’s a literary journal, and art review, and an activity guide. Best of all, it’s produced 100% by and for the students, families and staff of Emily Meschter Early Learning Center (EMELC)!

How does that work?
Each month, everyone who works at or attends EMELC and their family members are invited to submit pieces for digital publication in the new themed issue of theodore.. Each new issue will be distributed via a free and open link.

What can we submit?
Anything artistic or creative can be submitted to theodore.. Short fiction, poetry, essays, paintings, drawings, photography, recipes, directions to an activity, there really are no boundaries!

What are the themes?
In its inaugural year (2021-22), each issue of theodore will be themed around a particular color. Submissions can focus on or evoke the color of the month in any way. For example, the “Red issue” might include a poem about anger, a painting of roses, a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, a recipe for apple pie, an essay about Mars, and on and on.

But it’s for Preschoolers?
It’s for everyone! Preschoolers can create amazing content on their own or with help, but adults and older kids can also submit their very own work. The goal of theodore. is to collect fun and interesting ideas for a diverse audience.
